RECIPIENTS
The course is designed for Port Pilots
PREREQUISITE
All port pilots may attend the course (preferably, they should also hold the certificates of Radar Observer course, ARPA course and BTW/SAR course)
DURATION
The course lasts 4 days, including final exams.
OBJECTIVE
The course aims to familiarise port pilots operating on high speed crafts with shiphandling techniques. Using the full mission simulator, pilots practice on manoeuvring consoles for hydrojets, using various electronic aids for navigation (ARPA, ECDIS, GPS, VHF, AIS, VDR, etc.), simulating docking manoeuvres and navigation in congested waters.
CERTIFICATE
The relevant certificate is issued after successful completion of final exams
GENERAL INFORMATION
The course is scheduled year-round, except in the month of August.
